In the absence of Australian manufactured sports cruisers since the industry demise in 2008, McIntyre Equipment and sister company, STEYR Motors Australia has been working to identify a quality supplier of a modern diesel powered Sports Cruiser to fill the market.
After reviewing several manufacturers that were not currently seen in our region, the Mirikul 30 and Mirikul 40 Sports Cruisers from Europe have ticked all the boxes as a suitable contender for the Australian market, offering a high quality product with an attractive price.
Both models will have factory installed STEYR SE266S36, 260hp or SE286E40, 280hp engine models with Mercruiser Bravo III Stern Drives. The Mirikul 30, measuring 9.2 meters with a 3 metre beam, represents great value for money with a starting price of $229,000 inc GST, especially when compared to most other makes offering entry level boats at this price with gasoline engines.
Whilst being classified as an entry level Sports Cruiser, it is still able to offer to offer two private cabins below deck, perfect for the young family or two couples wanting that quick get away from today’s busy lifestyle.
For the next level, the Mirikul 40 boasts four social areas. Superior luxury is featured in three comfortable cabins, spacious salon, kitchen and bathroom with shower and toilet.
The salon is equipped with a spacious lounge area that stretches around a table that can be lowered to create two additional sleeping berths, take the sleeping capacity below deck to eight people. Two guest cabins are in the midship with separate entrance doors from the main saloon. The bathroom with a separate shower is entered from the salon so that all the guests can use it without disturbing any other party.
In the main cockpit on the stern, there is a garage with storage for all the aqua toys or an auxiliary boat. When closing the garage, the area serves as a sun bed for bathing on those Hot summer days. The introductory starting price for the Mirikul 40 is great value at $489,000 including GST.
